Introducing Authors

Living abroad, while filled with new experiences and doors opening to the world, can sometimes create an unintended distance between us and the vibrant current of literature and art in Iran. That close connection — the familiarity with the voices of writers, poets, and artists who are actively creating within Iran — can, at times, get lost in the noise of immigrant life.

With this in mind, the Literary Committee of the Iranian Cultural Association of Nova Scotia has taken a step forward to build a bridge between eager hearts on this side of the ocean and the beating pulse of culture and art on the other. Through a series of conversations and interviews, we’ve sought to better understand contemporary Iranian writers and explore their works and unique styles of writing.
